This is a leather holster made in the late 1800's. This one is made after the Mexican style double loop holster, and was a favorite of cowboys, gun hands and greenhorns alike. It's popularity was due to the fact that it held up under the rigorous conditions of the old west. This one measures 8 1/4" at the longest point and 5 1/8" at the widest point. It can accommodate a belt width of 4 1/2". There is one small rivet used in the construction of the holster, everything else is stitched together. All stitching remains strong and unbroken. There is a simple, but well executed hand tooled design around the perimeter of the holster. This one will fit any revolver with a barrel length of 5" or less. There is one small hole at the toe of the holster where the barrel of whatever if carried wore through. This one displays well, or can still be sued with you Cowboy or Western impression.
