This is a brass buckshot gang mold from the mid 1800's. This scissors type mold measures 10 1/2" in length. 32 balls can be made from each pour, all of the same caliber. The mold is stamped on the top and bottom with M.L. GOODMAN VA 140. The mold uses an alignment pin to keep the pockets together when molding shot. I have not been able to find any information on Goodman. The mold is in good condition, and could be used today cast shot. It would look good in any muzzle loading blackpowder shotgun display, or possibly your Confederate Cavalry shotgun display!
