Indian Wars General Service Button

This is a non excavated General Service Eagle button from the Indian Wars period. This two piece button is coat size and has an American eagle on the face. The back mark is SCOVILL MF'G CO/WATERBURY. The face is dent free, no mars or blemishes. The eagles are facing to the right, clutching a laurel branch in the right talon and three arrows in the left talon. In the center of the eagle is a plain shield. The majority of the gilt remains, being worn off in the raised areas of the eagle. The shank is all still present and straight.
