This hand made cast iron cannon came out of a UCV hall in west Tennessee. The carriage measures 17 1/2" long, 5 3/4" wide and 2 1/2 tall. Attached to the carriage by way of a metal bracket is a trail that measures 31" long. The cannon barrel is made of cast iron and is 10 3/4" long, 2 1/4" across the muzzle and has a 3/4" bore. Supporting the carriage are two cast iron wheels measuring seven" in diameter. This cannon is not intended for firing any type of projectile. It was used during UCV reunions and gatherings for rendering salutes, or just to make noise! Another UCV cannon out of the Tennessee area that would make a cool addition to your collection.
