This is a Citizen's Military Training Corps marksman badge from the 1920's - 1930's. The national Defense Act of 1920 created the CMTC so that male citizens could receive military training without signing up in one of the different services. The CMTC held classes, called camps, each summer from 1920 through 1940. The badge measures 2" wide, 1/4" high and is constructed on a non magnetic material with applied silver and has a horizontal pin with an open catch. This one displays great and will compliment any home front display or collection.
