Pistol cap tin made by the Union Metallic Cartridge Company. Another tin that has managed to survive in great condition, retaining it's original shape. This one has absolutely no damage, dents, scratches or mars. Starting to sound like the old commercial with Johnny Bench, "No Runs, no drips, no errors"! Anyway, the label on the lid is in almost mint condition and reads HICKS' PERCUSSION CAPS on the perimeter. 50% of the tin body label is missing. These are advertised as foil lined caps and water proof. It was manufactured in Bridgeport, Conn, USA. The tin is full of caps, but they do not appear to Civil war period. That said, they will go with the tin. Another great addition to a Civil war era ammunition collector.
