This is a non excavated one piece coat size flower buttons from the 1835-1837 period. The button is back marked WADHAMS, COE & Co/EXTRA. The button is in very good condition. It has a flower type design on the face with a stippled background. The button measures 21mm and retains over 90% of the gilt. The shank is present and standing tall. Wadhams and Coe can be traced back to 1835 in Wolcottville Connecticut, when George Wadhams and Ashael Coe went into business. Coe left the company in 1838. This button will make a great start for any collection.
