This is a set of Spanish style iron spurs for a child during the early 1900's. They measure approximately 3 3/4" in length and 2 5/16" across the widest part of the opening. The rowels both rotate freely. There is some very ornate engraving on the exterior of the spur, accented by a twisted pair of brass wire running down the center of the spur. The area that attaches the rowel to the body of the spur has been engraved to resemble a swan. The entire spur has a dark, rich patina. This would make a great decorator piece for those that choose the American southwest or Spanish American look. Or of you have a little rodeo man in the family, these will really deck him out!
